The Vienna International Photo Awards (VIPA) are now open to professionals, amateurs and students photographers from any country to compete in their competition. The VIPA 2012 Photo Competition is focused on documentary photo-reportage like social, cultural, political or environmental issues. The participants can be submit a single photo or a series which related to the focusing competition. The prizes of the competition are 1st prize €4.000, 2nd prize €2.000, and 3rd prize €1.000. The VIPA 2012 Photo Competition is inspired by many international competitions in photography which focuses on documentary photography photo-reportage like social, cultural, political or environmental issues. The organizer of this competition are KUNSTNETZWERK (modern contemporary art gallery and network) and founder Raed Bawayah (photographer), that collaborate with Eyes-On “the European Month of Photography Vienna”. They organize this competition to realize their mission to salute the achievements of the world’s finest photographers, to discover new and emerging talents, and to promote and enhance contemporary photography in Austria and all over the world.
The competition is open for professionals, amateurs and students photographers and who will be the winner will awarded in three sections: 1st prize (4.000 EUR), 2nd prize (2.000 EUR) and 3rd prize (1.000 EUR). In addition, the short-listed winners also will be able to take part in a group exhibition in 15th November 2012 in Vienna (during the European Month of Photography) as well as in the publication of VIPA’s official catalogue.
