Great bag, after slight modification
“It’s a good bag. I got it because the Velocity series seems to be only one i’ve seen where the flap opens away from the body so you can get the camera out, even switch lenses without taking the bag off or setting anything down. It’s a good size. It will fit a good 8″ long lens on the camera body plus 2 small other lenses.” – By Colin Chaddock
It does what I want
“I bought the Tamrac 5767 to use with my Canon XSi DSLR camera with a 18-200mm lens. I also carry a Canon FT100 video camera in the pouch. The adjustable spacers in the main bag work well so everything is well padded. At first I was a little cautious about the sling but after reviewing how to use it on Tamracs website it became very comfortable and convenient to use. “ – By R. J. Walters
Good idea but a tad too small
“I love the design of this bag but the 7x was a tad too small for my D90, 18-135mm, 50m prime, 70-300mm, charger and extras. I sold it to my dad and bought the 8x. If you have DSLR and and maybe 1 extra lens this will work for you. My 8x is fully packed to the gills with my complete rig. the Velocity series works very nice, I like how it swings around. It was a great bag for a Hawaii trip!” – By J. Anderson
“This is a very handy bag to use. I have 2 Tamrac Velocity bags, the 7X for my XTI & the 9X for my 40D. I’m primarily an outdoor & nature photographer so I pack my camera, a couple lenses and I’m off! The bag is comfortable to carry and easy to use without taking it off your body. Just slide it around to the front, open the top & it’s ready! Very high quality materials and construction, several pockets and places where accessories can be attached and stored. This is a good, solid, well designed & constructed bag “ – By Dave O’K
It is what it says
“This camera carry case lives up to the description. One SLR fits with 6 inch lens. If you put the lens hood on backward, that fits too. Two small lenses will fit one on each side, but it is tight. Fully loaded, it is not too heavy. The sling feature works great. “ – By Paul T. Perdew
Compact & lightweight
“I replaced a traditional camera bag with this model before a trip to several National Parks. I found the bag to be very convenient for my camera (Nikon D40) plus a zoom lens and a small digital video camera. I used the front zippered compartment for lens pen, extra SD cards and my cell phone. When worn as a backpack during hikes I was pleased that I could hardly notice the bag was there, yet it was easy to swing around to the front and access my cameras. It was easy to adjust and I loved the tuck-away, optional waist strap. Seems quite durable too. “ – By David G.
Excellent Pack for camaera and gear
“This is an excellent small pack for Digital SLR, lenses and accessories. I appreciate that I can fit everything into it and still have room to carry keys and a wallet without having to bring a purse. I can open it and retreive items without dropping or loosing everything. Light and comfortable. “ – By Lemming Spouse
Smaller than you Think
“I have the 7x which comfortably fits my Nikon D80 equipped with a 55 – 200mm, a prime, flash, battery, memory cards, cleaners. I might be able to squeeze another prime in there or take both primes out and another zoom. I love the style and look of the bag as well, it has a hip vibe with the sling. Another great concept in the design is that the sling allows you to swing the bag around without actually removing it off your body, thus allowing you access to all your gear without the inconveniences.” – By E. Phillips
“Bags works great after getting use to it. I was use to a back pack. Now I use a big back pack for travel to a location, and then put the equipment I need for the day in this bag. I have a Nikon D80 with 2 extra lenses. It is a little tight but it does the job. Good construction, zippers seem good. “ – By hoffz31
Big bang for the buck
“This is a great bag for the money. Look at the pics, it will hold your stock lens and tele at the same time along with some supplies like battery charger etc. This is important for the amateur that wants to go out around town sightseeing for the day. To get these features costs 50 to 100% more. The padding is appropriate for the price. If you want to be able to drop it, buy a better bag. Stitching and clips work fine. Plenty of pockets for cords and spare memory cards. It is a great starter bag and would highly recommended it over a square bag.” – By Mark Davidowski
