great case for carrying several camera accessories
“his case is smaller then it looks. i debated getting the next smallest case and am glad i didnt. i have this bag full with the current camera equipment i own. its extremely comfortable to carry when hiking of riding to locations. i currently have 2 cameras and 3 lenses in the bag along with extra batteries and accessories to both cameras. i was very impressed with how rugged this bag is. it is incredibly well made and weatherproof as well as shock proof. would recommend this bag in a heart beat. “ – By Tess A. Excellent Camara Bag Only
“I love this bag. Very well made; strong construction, water resistant features abound, very strong zippers and tough external shell material. However, the laptop section is basically worthless. My wifes 14.1″ Dell would not fit in the pouch–not even close. They should have placed the Laptop compartment in the back of the bag vice the front.” – By M. J. Yourcheck

Now it’s perfect
“With the addition of the laptop pocket on this new version, this bag is awesome. Great flexibility for configuration with lots of velcro straps and pads. I have a small 12.1″ laptop so this is the perfect size. I love the modular system you can add on to, and also the battery memory card pockets with the red flaps to distinguish between new and used is ingenuios!! Very comfortable where it rests on your back.” – By Nashuaslick

Excellent for an Outdoor Photographer
“The Tripod pocket and straps work amazingly well. I’m not even sure how, because at first glance it doesn’t look steady. However, I’ve done just about every imaginable physical activity (Rock climbing, skiing, etc) with this bag and my tripod has never come close to falling off. With the quick release you can have it off the bag in seconds. Lastly, the bag is really really comfortable. I’ve made 10+ mile hikes with it and barely noticed its there. It has a padded back with indentions in it to allow air through, thus stopping your back from being covered in sweat. All in all, I highly recommend this bag. After two years of rugged use not a single thing is broken or missing.” – By Kevin

Great Backpack Design
“Tamrac 5585 or Expedition 5X is the perfect choice for me to hold all of my current photography gear. The size of this one is perfect to hold my camera body when mounted to my 6 3/4 inch zoom-telephoto lens. I still have length beyond the end of this lens to hold my battery charger within a separate compartment. All of the features of the bag are well thought out. It is very comfortable to wear even when fully loaded.” – By John Finkbiner

The Best Small Bag Which Holds More Than You Think
“With pockets both inside the bag and out. You can also attached more to the sides if you wish. I have two cameras and a camcorder, 4 lenses, flashes and filters. Holds everything very nicely. The inside is adjustable so you can arrange it how ever you want. It is also very ruggard. The inside of the bag is cushioned and weather protected with the zipper flap which keeps the rain out and protects your gear. It is airplane friendly. You can carry it on and stow it in the overhead or under the seat. “ – By M. Quintano

A very nice camera backpack
“This is a very well-engineered camera backpack. It’s flexible enough to store items of various sizes and rigid enough to protect them. I like the accessory attachment points, which are handy for water bottles or big lens cases. I have no complaints whatsoever about this backpack. It holds my Pentax K-10D with a long zoom, and whichever lenses I decide to take with me. At home I use it to store my entire camera kit.” – By Virginia Godfrey

Classy, well-made, durable, efficient….everything to make it work
“There is no mistaking the Tamrac Expedition 5 photobag is of superb quality. Just by looking at the straps is one indication. The bag is not lightweight; it is very well-padded, keeps your equipment safe, and it is spacious inside, and if you do not have enough photo equipment to fill it, consider room for more stuff. Therefore, I use it for more than a photobag, and including for the padded lap top pocket that provides easy access. I have adjusted the Velcro adhesives for the many compartments, and what I like is the strength and durability of the Velcro adhesives.” – By Rizzo
