Sony World Photography Awards 2012 Photo Contest

The World Photography Organisation invites photographers to participate in their competition “Sony World Photography Awards 2012 Photo Contest” to win $5,000-$25,000 and attend the Gala Ceremony in London, with flight and accommodation included. The competition is free to enter and open to photographers of every ability.

The mission of this competition is to discover talent across many diverse fields of photography. The World Photography Organisation supports photographers to receive their award that fit their talent in fields photography. They are also will be show the photographers work’s on the WPO website and in international exhibitions, even inside the annual Sony World Photography Awards book, including unparalleled exposure through their annual marketing campaign and international media coverage.

The competition consists of several competitions and awards which available for photographers from different levels, that is:

+ Open Competition – for amateurs and enthusiasts

+ Professional Competition – for serious photographers with a true passion for the job

+ Youth Award – for anyone under the age of 25

+ Moving Image Award – for those experimenting with moving image narrative formats

+ Student Focus – for higher education photography students aged 18 – 28

+ 3D Award – for anyone using true 3D technology in photography or video
