In Indonesia, once you bought something you cannot return it. I bought the S 950 and had
to resell it to a sceond hand store for around 50% or the original price I paid. It was that bad! Bought another camera which I am satisfied.

This was a Christmas present this year and in the first 20 pictures in 2 days, it had froze up like 3 or 4 times and when it does nothing will work … You can’t even power off! If you take the battery out then re-install it, it resets itself and will again work for a shot or 2 till it freezes again. The retail store would not go for a refund (with the bill) and Sony has not helped at all either! Send it in for warranty they say! The Sony site said sent it to an autherized dealer 50 miles from my place and that cost $10. postage (Chilliwack BC. to Surrey), now they have returned it to me and say send it to Ontario (what will this cost?) Works terrible in low light conditions also (you can’t see the LCD screen)
The only reason I have this camera is because it was a present. Poor service and crappy, cheap camera. I thought more of Sony than this… until now.

I got this sony s950 digital camera.I had lot of belief in brand sony but this is the worst digital camera i have ever seen .sharpness of the image is really bad….dont buy this one…

What card issues are you exactly seeing. I have some issues as well. How did you resolve the issue? What brand card are you using?

I baught this same camera a few weeks ago. I LOVE the macro focusing, and I LOVE how well the quality is… BUT, I’m having issues with the memory cards. I don’t know if its the camera or the card itself thats causing the issues. Every card I use in the camera seems to malfunction soon after use. Did anyone else have similar problems??
