Sony MPK-WD Marine Pack Waterproof case User Reviews
Essential accessory for your W170, 150, or 300
“The case is well built, and I have every confidence in its ability to protect my camera even down to 40 meters (the max rating of the housing). It has a nice firm, solid feel to the latch, easy to change o-ring (comes with a tube of o-ring grease and a spare o-ring). It has a diffuser for the flash (so that it isn’t obscurred as one reviewer lamented). The buttons are easy to press and give access to all of the camera’s normal features. It fits like a glove because it was purpose built for the camera. I couldn’t be happier with it. “ – By Jeff Hutchison
Sony MPK-WD worked great on our cruise
“The sony waterproof case worked great we used it for snorkeling in Cozumel and the Bahamahas. Then in Belize we used it on our cave tubing excursion. took great pics and video, cant speak for deep water because we where no more than 12 – 15ft. deep at the most.It did take good pics both in and out of the water. It was sometimes hard to see the screen underwater but that was probably more my goggles than the case. Flash still works and seems to do a good job with the difuser that is included. All in all the product worked great for us and we hope to have lots more chances to use it. Hopefully next time we can try it SCUBA diving.” – By David P. Thueson
Must-have accessory for the camera
“I recently replaced our old Sony Camera with a W300, and bought the Marine Pack for it. We just returned from a cruise, and I was extremely impressed with both camera and case. The case is a little bulky, but very user-friendly–the buttons allow for complete control of the camera. I used the case in the swimming pool on board ship with the kids, and got some great underwater shots of them swimming. I then took it snorkelling and diving, and again got fantastic shots of marine life…” – By E. Hardy
Expand the your DCS-W150, W170, W300 for under water pix
“The case allows you access to all the camera controls, comes with everything you need and has a glass lense cover for clarity. The case does block the flash but the included diffuser spreads light adequately for close-up shots even at night. If you want better color saturation definetly get a strobe. What makes the DSC-W170 such a great match to this this housing is the superior Zeiss optics, 10 mg photos, 5x Optical zoom, movie mode and best of all an underwater mode with several color correction options to reduce the blue or green you typically get in deeper water.” – By H. Rose
“I bought this product 4 days before leaving for Australia. I wanted a housing to use while snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef. It arrived on time and worked wonderfully! No leaks, no worries. All camera functions were fully accessible. The only issue was with the flash not being able to be fully utilized. This wasn’t a huge problem during my visit – we were in shallow water during the day… but if it was darker or deeper it may have been an issue.” – By Jessica D. Smith

Sony MPK-WD Marine Pack Waterproof case Features & Specifications
Use the Sony MPK-WD Marine Pack to transform your Sony CyberShot DSC-W150, DSC-W170 and DSC-W300 into an underwater digital camera. Its damage-resistant construction protects the camera from the harshest conditions on both land and sea, making it suitable for diving, snorkeling, or surfing. The housing can also be used during activities that call for protection from the elements such as skiing, fishing, sailing, or even in certain industrial situations. Now there really is nothing between you and the perfect picture.
The housing allows underwater photos to be taken using the built-in flash of the camera. However, an external strobe is recommended to improve the images by reducing the illumination of particles suspended in the water. Slaved external strobes like those made by Sea & Sea, Ikelite, Fantasea or Sealife can be used to provide proper lighting.
• Sturdy ABS plastic and glass construction protects your camera both on land and sea
• Perfect for bad weather situations like heavy rain and snow. Or, for use during activities that call for protection from the elements such as skiing, fishing, or sailing.
• Water-resistant to a depth of approximately 132′
• Bright yellow components make it easy to see in even the worst conditions
