DCR reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
“the T700 is certainly the best looking, most solidly built small camera we’ve had the pleasure of shooting with this year. “

ImagingResource reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
” It takes a picky reviewer to be disappointed with the Sony T700’s image quality. The casual photographer with a Sony T700 is mostly going to be looking at resampled, smaller images than full resolution prints — and probably mostly on that gorgeous 3.5-inch screen…”

RegHardware reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
“If style is your thing then the DSC-T700 could be the camera for you - provided you don’t mind shelling out £300 for the privilege. It looks great, for the most part produces good pictures and offers superb internal storage capacity. But it’s not the easiest of cameras to operate, and you pay for the slim design and large LCD screen with a shorter battery life”

Cameras.uk reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
“It looks great and will appeal anyone who is style conscious. Looking at the price tag I expect outstanding picture quality. The Sony DSC T700 does not quite hit those heights, but is still more than capable of decent snapshots.”

TrustedReviews reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
“The Carl Zeiss lens performs as well as one might hope, producing good edge-to-edge sharpness and minimal chromatic aberration, and less barrel distortion than most other periscope-type lenses. At low ISO settings and normal lighting conditions the sensor produces good results….”

PhotoReview.au reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
“Exposures were generally well-balanced and metering was accurate in a wide variety of shooting conditions. The test camera seemed capable of covering a slightly wider dynamic range than many other small-sensor digicams we’ve reviewed.”

CNET reviews the Sony CyberShot T700 and writes;
“Picture quality is also respectable with excellent color and contrast at low ISO sensitivities, though there’s some visible lens distortion on the left side, which is common in this class of cameras…Noise in the pictures becomes noticeable at ISO 200 and starts to seriously obscure detail at ISO 800″

Sony CyberShot T700 Press Release
SAN DIEGO, Aug. 6, 2008 – Sony is making the grade with the introduction of the stylish Cyber-shot® DSC-T700 digital camera with “intelligent” shooting functions.
The T700 model earns extra points as a “photo album in your pocket.” It has all the features of the T77 unit plus 4GB of internal memory that can store nearly 1,000 full-resolution or 40,000 VGA-quality photos; a 3.5-inch, wide touch panel Xtra Fine LCD™ screen for photo-like viewing (210 pixel-per-inch resolution) with high contrast and wide-angle viewing; and a thin profile (slightly more than 5/8 of an inch) so it can easily slip into a pocket or purse.
“Sony is taking the lead in developing “intelligent” cameras so that taking great pictures is an automatic function and not a complicated process,” said Phil Lubell, director of digital camera marketing at Sony Electronics. “This is part of our effort to enhance the camera experience for customers by offering new functionality.”
