Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W690 Reviews

CNET reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W690 and writes;
“When set to fully automatic, the results weren’t as consistent as I would have liked, but when the W690 did well, it did very well indeed. Captured detail was consistently sharp, colours were accurate and the video performance was certainly up to scratch.”
Rating: ★★★☆☆

Ephotozine reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W690 and writes;
“The W690 packs a good amount of optical zoom into its compact body and is easily small enough to carry around in your pocket. Image quality is also good with good colour reproduction. It’s not the quickest camera around, we found it a little slow when it came to switching on, shot-to-shot and when using continuous shooting. If these aren’t so important to you, the Sony Cybershot DSC-W690 is a decent compact digital camera.”

Pretty good for what it is
“If you’re on a budget and either can’t afford or don’t want to spend $200+ on a camera, or if you’re looking for a low-end point and shoot compact you can just stick in your pocket and not have to haul around your primary camera, this is a good camera to get. It offers a nice all-around game of image quality, stabilization feature, and a decent for the money zoom in a compact, portable package.” – By The Draconic Nabokovian

Fine camera for the average picture-taker like me
“The zoom was extraordinary and the functionality, including basic video, panorama-picture and just plain easy handling was great for a traveler who wants to take a nice shot now and then. The shot-framing was straightforward. The low-light quality of the pics was quite fine.” – By Harris M.

Picture Perfect
“Was looking for a compact camera that was simple to use and would take great pictures….and this camera was it! I also was happy that you had a color selection, and the price was great too. I will be telling everyone I know who is looking for a camera that Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W690 is the one to buy.” – By Karen M. Porath

pretty good
“This is a good little camera, very small and cute. Runs out of battery fairly easy. I bought a second battery fairly cheap and have been fine ever since. Personally I don’t like the software and it it pretty confusing to use. I have my own photo gallery so I just deleted it.” – By its me
