IT IS NOT A COMMENT BUT A PROBLEM. I HAVE A SONY DIGITAL CAMERA DSC W-55.I PURCHASED IT IN DEC 2007.YESTERDAY ON 87 NOV WHEN I TRIED SWITCH THE POWER ON THE LIGHT NEXT TO POWER SWITCH WAS GREEN BUT THE LCD SAYS”TURN THE POWER OFF AND ON AGAIN” .I DID THAT,BUT SAME RESPONSE WAS COMING .I DIDNT ATTACH IT LASTTO ANY LAPTOP OR COMPUTER SO THE PROBLEM OF VIRUS IS NOT THERE.I AM AT A PLACE WHERE NEAREST SONY SHOP IS 240 KM AWAY.CAN U HELP ME OUT IN SOLVING THE PROBLEM saurabh64033m@gmail.com

I banged my camera several times on my desk, and it worked! (Note: light taps don’t work. Hit harder! Sony cameras are pretty durable, so don’t worry about damaging it!) Thanks for the tip!

Just wondering whether anyone had the same problem as me…

I’ve had the sony cybershot DSC-W55 for a while now but one day, the flash decides to go haywire on me and stops working. Sometimes it’ll go off and the picture will turn out fine, but majority of the other times, the picture either turns out too bright or too dark to see. Anybody know how to fix this problem?

thank you for the advice. I banged this camera 5 times against tile and then ripped the lens out. So the lens was moving but the focus was still off. turned it off, took the battery out, and reloaded. It works!

does any one know how to download pics from a Sony Cybershot with ouy installing the PMB software. I can not download it on my computer. I didn’t think I was going to have such a problem with this new camera. thanks for your help
