Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 Reviews
Techradar reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 and writes;
“The Sony TX20′s responsive, user-friendly touch screen interface works well and the camera’s AF system proves to be both quick and reliable. The slim, stylish design and good range of exposure modes adds further to the camera’s appeal.”

CNET reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 and writes;
“The TX20′s video quality is very good, both in and out of water. You can record in either MTS or MP4 formats (though you’ll get the best quality using the former), capture up to 10, 10-megapixel stills per clip, and you get use of the optical zoom while recording. All of the pluses and minuses of its photos are present in the video, so, again, good for Web use and computer viewing,”

Ephotozine reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 and writes;
“As the camera is rated to depths of 5 meters, and shockproof from 1.5 meters we would say that this is a camera for someone who wants an ultra compact, stylish camera, with the occassional water adventure. For someone into more rugged adventures and additional wetness a different waterproof camera would be recommended.”

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 and writes;
“Redeeming qualities include great color accuracy, which can lead to flattering portraits. Video recording is also very competent, thanks to Sony’s credentials in this area, though we did notice some problems with motion. The body is certainly slim too, all other arguments aside, and fits easily inside a pocket, purse, or wristlet.”

Imaging-resource reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 and writes;
“Image Quality: Color is fairly natural-looking overall, though bright yellows are muted quite a bit. Strong reds and blues are a little bright, but greens are about right. Hue shifts are apparent in colors like yellow, orange and cyan, and minutely in some greens. Overall hue accuracy was about average.”

Awesome design and quality
“The camera is great for any pool and for a lot of fun with the kids. Bottom line – it’s awesome camera. For it’s class I think it’s the best on the market for now. If you are looking for very good pictures from a small camera – that’s the one.” – By H. Hristov

Great little camera
“Photo & video quality are great for such a compact, waterproof camera, and in full auto mode it does a good job with metering and exposure. Obviously, there are loads of point and shoot cameras that will take better photos, but for me this is a beach/river/back country camera for those times when it isn’t practical to bring a better camera. It has an awesome macro function that lets you get extremely close to your subject, and the auto-pano function works great and is really fun.” – By Cougarbait33

Nice camera. Best-in-class picture quality
“I purchased this camera after trying (and being disappointed with) the Nikon Coolpix. The picture quality from the Sony camera was light-years better than the Nikon. The “good”: Very small. The moveable metal cover did a good job protecting the lens, and was easy to open with one hand. Superb picture quality and superb videos 16.Megapix quality, A good zoom feature” – By Tech-Guru

Big pictures in a small package
“What I love the most, and relish, is the macro. This camera gets into small spaces. I can hold the lens far less than 1/2″ away from the subject and get a tight, high resolution photos that, frankly, blows away my Nikkor 105 macro lens that costs more than 4 times what this camera costs.” – By D. Excellent little camera
“We’ve had this little guy through a Maui vacation, and it’s been excellent!!.. The image quality is excellent for what it is, the image sensor is a actual CMOS sensor (albeit still a small one) both “dry land” photos and underwater photos turn out great. I normally shoot with a DSLR and good lenses so impressing me with a point-n-shoot has always been difficult. The video quality is excellent as well, I haven’t viewed any of it on the HDTV yet but viewing them on the built in LCD they’ve been great.” – By Adam

Love this camera
“It has quite a few fun photo editing options and I am still discovering new things about it. I used it on a long weekend getaway to Cape San Blas and got some great pictures while snorkeling. It is easy to use and seems durable. The camera spent hours hanging under the water from a floating strap on my wrist and no problems.” – By Just Beachin’

Excellent
“The touch screen is now capacitive instead of resistive which enables it to be as accurate as a quality smart phone screen and the photo quality is much better. The photos from the TX20 look more vivid and life-like when compared to the TX5 and the video is much smoother. It is very fast and responsive in every aspect and is fun to use. Many fun picture effects to play with too.” – By Andrew Carver

“Someone stole my camera, i had this one, but the 2011 model… so, i wanted to buy the same one, cause i was quite happy about my camera. I decided finally to go with the 2012 model. I just love it : the touch screen is much better now ! the colour is perfect, the entire collection is beautiful.” – By Nathalie

Very Happy
“Photo quality/ease of use: My pictures in and out of the water look great! I’m still exploring all the (many) features and specific settings, but so far I love it! There are a lot of settings and options, so if anyone knows a good tutorial on these, please share. I love the many options to scroll through the photos stored on the camera card.” – By KTLynn

Solid Camera, 3D is hit or miss
“The panoramas are a different matter all together. These get a solid 8-9 for 3D effect. By moving the camera to create the panorama effect you get many different angles and perspectives on the scene you are looking at. When the camera combines all of those images it creates the best 3D I have ever seen. Better than most 3D movies, and it really did blow me away.” – By Rick Myers

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20
“Things that I like this camera are: 0) photo quality is great! 1) 1080i video. 2) can take photos during filming. (I love this feature). 3) zooming does not blur the video quality. 4) water resistance. 5) lens cover. 6) lens completely seal inside the body. Lastly, this camera does work under the water. I used it for snorkeling.” – By Jennifer R. Li

And here’s why I stick to Sony
“Image quality in low light is superior without any defacing. More sharp than the TX 10. The interface has changed since the previous camera and it took me a few days to get used to; 16.2 Megapixel camera and videos are shot very well; nice big led display / touchscreen works good; Strong Battery – Easily click 300 + images before requiring recharge / plenty of options to view/playback meanwhile” – By Harkanwar Anand

Great underwater photos
“I used this camera for a lot of everyday photos while on the trip, and while the quality isn’t on par with my Nikon DSLR (my primary camera), it was actually quite good for a point and shoot. The menu is easy to navigate, the battery was better than expected, the shutter is responsive enough, and the size is very convenient for throwing it into my pocket.” – By Brent C.
