Expertreviews reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX20V and writes;
“These issues with noise didn’t bode well for image quality in low light, but in fact the HX20V coped surprisingly well. By ISO 800, the turbulent noise artefacts were only a little worse, and there was still a reasonable amount of detail in dense textures.”

Techradar reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX20V and writes;
“This camera provides very usable results throughout the zoom range, and even when shooting handheld at maximum telephoto setting. Add in GPS, Sweep Panorama and 3D options and we have a capable jack-of-all-trades.”

Trustedreviews reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX20V and writes;
“the HX20V is capable of producing images with plenty punch, pleasingly vibrant colour and good levels of contrast. Lens sharpness is better at wideangle and mid-range focal lengths than it is at the telephoto extreme though (something the HX20V shares with most other travel compacts), and we did notice some instances of purple fringing.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Pocket-lint reviews the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX20V and writes;
“In part this is down to the back-lit sensor dealing well with low-light situations, but there’s also an impressive superior auto mode that can (though doesn’t always) snap multiple frames and process each differently to generate a single image that’s both sharper and lower-noise than a standard shot. And it really works.”
