		<description>Yes, it's possible to turn off: the start-up sound, the shutter sound, and button 'click' sounds. For movies, if you want to reduce internal noise, turn off continuous focussing.
(P.S.: For higher quality shots try shooting in widescreen high def. mode!) This is one great "all-'round" camera (Although I'd look at the latest models as the H5 has a 3inch LCD). I bought it to see if I liked photography enough to warrant spending the money on a DSLR (A:yes). The 12x zoom is highly addicting... One cheap and easy way to make your pictures that much better is to buy a Circular Polarizer / UV filter set (Bought mine at Walmart, Targus makes 'em).
