Techradar reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“With the same impressive sensor as the Sony NEX-5R, we feel confident that the Sony NEX-3N will be a good performer too,”

PCMAG reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“Zooming to 33mm narrows the maximum aperture to f/5, but improves image quality. It scores 1,821 lines there. At its maximum 50mm zoom setting the lens notches 1,713 lines at f/5.6, but improves to 1,821 lines at f/8.”

Imaging-resource reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“Autofocus and exposure generally seemed accurate, and although I’m still not a fan of Sony’s menu system and playback-mode interface, overall the NEX-3N is a fairly approachable camera with a generous array of shooting aids to help consumers get the shot they’re after.”
rating: N/A

Engadget reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“Excellent image quality, a solid (but compact) build and Sony’s new 16-50mm retractable zoom lens make the NEX-3N an excellent fit for interchangeable-lens hopefuls making the jump from a compact point-and-shoot, or even current NEX-3/C3/F3 owners ready for something a bit more fresh. It’s a fantastically capable camera, and it looks great, too. We wouldn’t hesitate to pick one up.”

Photographyblog reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“Image quality is excellent, with results from the proven 16 megapixel APS-C sensor in most cases surpassing the Compact System Camera alternatives, especially if you want to achieve shallow depth-of field effects.”

Ephotozine reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“The Sony NEX-3N is an excellent entry level mirrorless camera, delivering excellent image quality, without compromising on handling or design. The camera has a good tilting 3inch screen with a decent resolution, and built in flash, as well as a number of options that would suit the beginner or those looking to add more creativity to shots.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Amateurphotographer reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“The NEX-3N resolves around 24 lines per mm at its base sensitivity of ISO 200 – this is on a par with similarly priced enthusiast compact cameras, although the benefits of the larger sensor are realised at higher sensitivities where the camera only drops to around 20lpmm. Obviously, noise is far more prevalent here, but in terms of detail retention the camera is impressively consistent.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“The NEX-3N is a very competitive little shooter, with plenty of advanced features: an articulated rear LCD, 4fps continuous shooting, a built-in flash, full manual control, Sony’s usual array of automatic and scene modes, 1080/60i videos, and a 16.1-megapixel APS-C image sensor.”
rating: N/A

Popphoto reviews the Sony Alpha NEX-3N and writes;
“video is one of this Sony’s strengths. It can record at up to 1920x1080i60 in AVCHD format. The footage we captured was great for a camera in this price range. If you’re used to a compact camera that can barely create a mediocre 720p video clip, the NEX-3n should impress you.”
