Sigma 24-60mm F2.8 EX DG IF ASP Lens Review & Sample Photos

The lens didn’t disappoint in the performance department either. Both aberrations and distortion are very well controlled and are virtually negligible. There’s some very slight pin-cushion bending at the 60mm end of the focal range, but from about 40mm on to the widest angle settings, the zoom appears fully corrected (which is quite a feat in optical terms). Both resonation and brightness are uniformly maintained from centre-to-corners with only very minimal fall-off when the lens is used at maximum aperture. The results when shooting at f2.8 are more than acceptable so you can use this lens speed to maximum advantage rather than just in emergencies.

Sigma’s 24-60mm f2.8 zoom has got to be close to the perfect standard Lens. It’s certainly a very capable all-rounder in terms of focal range, speed, close- focusing capabilities and dimensions.
