I've had this camera for 3 yrs and love it. The movies are great. Manual controls gives you flexibility with different depths of field. I started shooting in the old film days and this camera give me many features beyond what was available in the past... The lens cover sticks a little but if your careful put a tiny, tiny drop of baby oil on the leafs when cover is closed....

My Samsung S85 lens is getting stuck out too. This seems to be a defect has there been any recalls? Is there anyway of fixing it? We have barely used it, I doubt we have taken 100 pictures yet.

Can you lubricate the lens?

I have tried batteries, new, lithium etc... no luck.

The format feature does exactly what it says. It formats the memory card. In the process, it wipes out any existing contents in the card.

If you have not tried storing additional content or making other changes to the card, then you may still be able to retrieve some of the content.

Do a Yahoo or Google search on card recovery utilities. They may be able to help.

My Samsung S85 won't turn on and STAY on. When I push the power button, the green light comes on, and then shuts off in about 2 seconds. I've tried replacing batteries with new ones, over, and over again. It's only 10 months old.
Any suggestions?
