Samsung has released the MultiView 800 (MV800) compact digital camera (dimensions: 92 x 56.2 x 10.3mm (3.6 x 2.21 x 0.4 in.) featuring a folding touch screen which is quite handy for taking self-portrait. If we take a look back to the year 2009, Samsung has started to design cameras with similar feature where they designed a dual LCD screen-equipped camera named Samsung ST550 then followed by the Samsung PL120 & PL170 later which is also targeted for people looking for a camera for taking self-portrait easily. Samsung MV800 Features
Adjustable LCD Screen
With adjustable LCD Screen Samsung has made some improvement in their camera design. Previously you can see yourself only on a tinny LCD on the front, and now you can use the big tilting 3.0-inch AMOLED LCD screen from the back of the camera. The 3.0″ folding touch-sensitive (capacitive) LCD screen has actually more functions than just for taking self-portrait. It will let you take pictures from multiple angles; you can take photos over a crowd, get waist-level candid photos of your kids, and even prop the camera up at angles for easy tabletop photography.
Images and Video
The Samsung MV800 equipped with a a 16.1 Megapixel resolution and 5X optical zoom zoom lens offers a 26-130mm (equivalent) zoom range with dual Image Stabilizer (optical + digital). The camera also has 3D still image and Live Panorama modes where user can easily create panoramic images by holding the shutter button while aiming on the scene. The 3D Photo can transform any image into 3D image when viewing the image on a 3D HDTV. Samsung also provides the camera with 720p (1280×720, 30/15p) HD video mode and HDMI output.
In camera Photo Editor
The AMOLED LCD display is also loaded with functions for you to get creative with your photos. Get your photos right with the photo editor where you can rotate, add effects, croup out distraction or remove blemishes and other imperfections right from your camera.
You can also create a wallpaper of images with Magic Frame, have fun with portraits by adding the Funny Face filter to bend, stretch, and warp your favorite faces, and you can also use the Smart Filter 3.0 to transform your photos into cartoons, paintings, comic book and more.
Another interesting feature is the MV800′s storyboard mode where users can create their life ‘storyboard’ just by choosing available template for your shots and add text with a virtual keyboard just like what you do in a smartphone.
