CNET.uk reviews the Samsung CL65 and writes;
“On a practical level, you might wish the ST1000 had a wideangle zoom, rather than the 35-175mm equivalent lens supplied. Also, while the image processing makes coarse detail look super-sharp, it smudges finer textures.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Trustedreviews reviews the Samsung CL65 and writes;
“The wide angle end is equivalent to 35mm. The full-size image is approximately 5MB. The telephoto end of the zoom is equivalent to 175mm. The full-size image is approximately 5.9MB. With the Auto Contrast Balance turned off the highlights are burned out and there isn’t much shadow detail. Turning the ACB feature on helps with the shadow detail, but doesn’t do much for the highlights. Colour rendition is very good, although the auto white balance can be a bit inconsistent. “
Rating: ★★★★☆

WDC reviews the Samsung CL65 and writes;
“In terms of image-noise, the highest ISO 3200 setting does produce images at full size, albeit much softer than its lower-ISO counterparts due to noise-reduction processing (which can’t be adjusted for). This softness is a little more prominent than expected throughout the range, bar ISO80-200 where images are better, if not excessively processed and sharpened in-camera.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

PhotographyBlog reviews the Samsung CL65 and writes;
“Chromatic aberrations were fairly well controlled, with some purple fringing effects appearing in high contrast situations. Anti-shake works very well when hand-holding the ST1000 in low-light conditions or when using the telephoto end of the zoom range. The maximum shutter speed of 8 seconds allows the camera to capture enough light for some if not all after-dark situations.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Pocket-lint reviews the Samsung CL65 and writes;
“Image quality is more than acceptable for a 12-megapixel compact. It’s not flawless, but unless you’re looking for perfection then the Samsung is more than capable. Sometimes colours were a bit over-saturated for our liking, but not to a wholly detrimental level. Our only real gripe with the ST1000 was a slightly sluggish focus that struggled from time to time.”
Rating: ★★★★½

The wonder of you | Rating: ★★★★☆
“The picture quality is very good too but you are sending images wirelessly, you should be aware of the 2Mb restriction. The flash is very powerful and scene recognition and camera-shake eliminators are pretty good too. The touchscreen is pretty easy to navigate – much like the Sony T500 – but sometimes there is a ‘lag’ between different modes. ” – By Portaderry

Good, but with drawbacks | Rating: ★★★★☆
“… But, moans aside, the flash is good, the screen is big and bright, 12Mpx is pretty generous and allows for quite a lot of cropping, the user interface is easy to understand and use without a manual (I’m a bloke – it’s just our way), the image stabilisation works fine and the images are fine generally although if you zoom in close edges are a bit sharp, and subtle details seem to get lost and averaged out with the smart auto mode.” – By Mr. John L. Dixon

Great camera, loads of functions, very cool! | Rating: ★★★★★
“Just a quick review, this is a great little camera that takes pretty good photos but best of all is the wireless functions. We can now go out and take a pile of photos, come home and then have a slide-show on our TV wirelessley before copying the pictures over the network to our NAS box! It just works, enough said! ” – By Stevie
