Ephotozine reviews the Samsung 16mm f/2.4 and writes;
“Distortion is very well controlled, with 0.471% pincushion distortion being present, which is only very slight and should pose very few issues in real world images. What little distortion is present is uniform across the frame, so should be relatively easy to correct in image editing software afterwards.”

Lenstip reviews the Samsung 16mm f/2.4 and writes;
“The Samsung NX 16 mm f/2.4 is a very interesting lens, worth our attention, not only as a part of the NX system but also from the perspective of other mirrorless systems. Compared to the Sony E 16 mm f/2.8 it is better in practically all categories: it is faster, its optics and its build quality are superior as well.”

PCMAG reviews the Samsung 16mm f/2.4 and writes;
“I also used Imatest to check the sharpness of the lens. At f/2.4 it’s quite sharp in the center—over 2,200 lines per picture height—but its overall score is a low 1,646 using a center-weighted metric. Stopping down to f/4 improves the performance across the board; the lens tops 2,000 lines there—better than the 1,800 lines required for a sharp photo.”

“I LOVE this LENS…. talk about TACK SHARP and the depth of field that i can do with this lens…. when i don’t wanna bring my 5D mark II out I have my NX1000 always on me with this lens on it 100% of the time now…” – By R54

Nice, bright and wide
“I am impressed with this lens. Besides being ultra compact, the lens is tack sharp and produces wonderful images. I read one review that complained the lens was soft in the corners when shot wide open but I don’t find that to be accurate. The lens is a nice addition to my NX200 system!” – By dbug

Fantastic lens with a very good price
“I’m using 16/2.4 with my NX10. Performance of the lens is really satisfiying, the sharpness is extremely good even at f:2.4. This is my first lens with i-function and found it very usefull. Price/ performance is high, I’m sure many other brands are jealous about this lens. It is very compact and lightweight, with NX10 I can carry it even in my pocket without a bag.” – By Bach
