Royal PF80 Digital Picture Album – Review @ CNET

CNET hasrecently reviewed the Royal PF80, 8″ Digital Picture Album which will allow you to view a single picture or a complete slide show containing as many as 500-600 pictures depending upon the size of your digital camera media card. The Digital Albums support up to 8-megapixal photos, the largest in the industry so you can see the photos exactly as you have photographed them.

Rating: 5.8/10 The good: This inexpensive digital photo frame offers a large 8-inch display, is easy to set up, and can display JPEG images and certain AVI video files stored on various types of memory cards. It’s also wall-mountable and comes with a remote that allows you to control the frame from across the room. The bad: The frame appears to have speakers, but it isn’t capable of producing sound. While the outer frame is removable, no extra frames ship with the product. We had trouble playing some AVI video files, and there’s no internal memory. The bottom line: Not a bad digital photo frame for those on a tight budget, but by failing to include sound, Royal missed an opportunity to take the PF80 to the next level.”
