Ricoh Lens A16 24-85mm f/3.5-5.5 Released

Tokyo, Japan, February 2, 2012. Ricoh Co., Ltd. has released a new lens, it is the Ricoh Lens A16 24-85mm f/3.5-5.5 which offers a 15.7-55.5mm of wide range (24-85mm equivalent) lens and a sixteen-megapixel APS-C sized CMOS sensor. The lens construction consists of an 11-element in 9-group including three aspherical lenses and high-refraction lenses to reduce various types of distortion across the entire zoom range. There are additional features such as dynamic range compression, ISO bracketing, an improved two-axis electronic level gauge and two different manual focusing aids. The Ricoh Lens A16 24-85mm f/3.5-5.5 is the fifth camera unit in the GXR interchangeable unit camera system. The lens enable to produce high resolution and imaging power from edge to edge that powered by the lens construction that consists of an 11-element in 9-group combined with three aspherical lenses and high-refraction lenses to reduce the various types of distortion. The configuration of this construction also make the lens provides highly precise aperture settings and beautiful bokeh.

The lens has a 23.6mm×15.7mm large-format CMOS sensor that combined with approximately 16.20 million effective pixels provides the superior resolving power to produce the finest image details of your subject. Not only that, by combining with the image processing engine Smooth Imaging Engine IV, the image sensor provides low noise and high image quality.
