Ricoh Announces R10

Ricoh has recently announced the R10, a 10 megapixels pocket camera features 7.1 optical zoom (35mm equivalent: 28-200mm), CCD-shift image stabilizer, in camera image editing, and a large 3.0″ HVGA LCD monitor.

    I have used this camera for 8 days and believe it to be the best digital camera I’ve ever owned.

    The features and results are the best..

    . Very compact (pocketable) 22mm at the deepest point
    . High Definition 28mm wide angle lens; 7.1 Optical zoom 200mm
    . New lens results in sharper photo images
    . Large 3″ LCD screen (new); 460,000 pixels produces excellent results for the most discriminating photographer
    .Four face recognition (improved over the R8)finds faces (w/blue squars around face)and sets the best exposures
    . 10 Scenes modes to choose from
    . Excellent results in low light situations
    . Flash compensation (new) -2.0 to +2.0 ; flash now up to 10 feet from subject/s
    . Subject level indicator (new).. bar turns green when OK to shoot photo
    .Macro mode; take photo/s down to 1.0cm or with zoom macro
    .White balance and color compensation handled in the camera.. user can make a photo lighter or darker; add re, magenta, green, blue colors
    .Customize image settings (new)i.e. Contrast, sharpness, color depth
    . Set ISO from 80 to 1600
    . Auto digital resize up to 1140mm
    . Trim photo function is great.. you can make the photo reduction to size of one’s chin
