Comments on: Turning photos into colored pencil sketch

something is not working for me between step 6 and 7. Step 6: Change the layer mode to color dodge, and you should be hardly to see anything on your image.

colour dodge leaves my picture unchanged, can’t get the pencil sketch.
what am I doing wrong?
