I had a hard time knowing how the Step 3 is done actually, until I figured it out. Open the two image (your picture and the stone). Then view them in TILE, so that you could see both image. Then just Drag the Stone Image into your picture. Simple. Works fine with me. Thanks for the tutorial.

Very well put together however i would like to ask if there is anyway that you know of to add a little more depth to the stone texture for the nose and mouth area i got the eyes to look semi ok but with the mouth and nose you can tell its there but there is not enough concave for it to give it the detail im looking for

Step 3. Open your stone texture file, and drag it into your face photo. Change the layer blend mode to multiply.

Any more info on how to do this (drag into) ??? someone has asked this question before (2 years ago) and yet no hints !

Tutorial sounds great HAD it explained the most important step i.e. step 3

Without explaining that step this tutorial is almost useless ! If one has to look for this answer in another tutorial on another site then why would they come back here at all ?!!!

Sorry if I may sound negative but I only mean some contructive criticizm and I thank all your sincere efforts.

Any real help is really appreciated

Cheers

Cool tut. I think it needs a bit of extra touched though.
Maybe you should use the "Displace" filter first (other tutorials show the way to do this) in order to make up for the cracking lines.
The crack line over the lips must have some bends over the lips and not going into a straight line I guess.

Good stuff. Keep on!

it has value... but it is too dark to be of real value... the effectiveness of the tecnique is not quite shown because it is all being blotted out so much... i'd lighten it up a great deal.
