Photography Tips: Macro with Minolta DiMAGE A1


John from Adelaide, Australia has been doing some impressive macro shots with his Minolta DiMAGE A1.
The best part is he also has the ‘behind the scene’ of some of his best shots.

Macro basically refers to being able to focus on subjects quite close to the lens, so you can photograph small subjects in reasonable detail.

You will get the best magnification and subject definition with the following camera settings…

Thanks to Digital Photography Journal for choosing my spider macro as photo of the day for 26 April. Inaddition to the macro information linked from this DPJ entry, probably the most significant behind the scenes stuff is in my gallery about the Making of Matchmaker, with a series of photos from conception of the idea to realisation of my entry that won the same Minolta Challenge where I also entered the spider macro.
