After some looking I purchased a panasonic zs5, it falls way short of the canon as far as picture quality, ease of use, on auto mode canon is second to non, canons anti shake is far superior to panasonic and I stress far superior. After all what is a point and shoot camera exactly what it states fast use for us amatures. I never had to mount my canon on a tripod with this one I'll have to, which eliminates ease and comfort and quickness of use. I'd like my canon back, for sale one panasonic zs5. I use cameras professionally. This is my personal pocket camera. I took good care of it. The lens broke within 3 weeks. Camera has been at Panasonic now for 6 business days and they do not know the status of my claim. Very frustrating. Poor customer service and poor product quality = no more Panasonic products for me.
