The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS4 (FT4) is able to produce high picture quality powered by LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens in folded optics that combined with a 12.1-megapixel Hi-Speed CCD sensor and the advanced image processing LSI Venus Engine. It also offers high speed performance to record 1,920 x 1,080 full-HD video in AVCHD/MP4. In addition, when recording the videos users can be set the shutter speed and aperture manually which supported by manual operation of the camera.

There are also variety of special feature which makes shooting with this camera more fun and easy like Time Lapse Shot, Miniature Effect, Panorama Shot including new Auto Retouch function for beautiful review images. The camera is designed for active outdoor photographers which offers feature like GPS, compass, altimeter and even barometer to show and record altitude, barometric pressure and orientation data. Moreover, the barometer also works for indicator for depth underwater.
