Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 Reviews

Imaging-resource reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 and writes;
“it measures just 4.26 x 2.32 x 1.09 inches (108.3 x 58.9 x 27.7 mm) even though it hosts an Ultra Wide Angle LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens with a 35mm equivalent range of 24mm to 480mm. Also packed inside is a new, improved 18.1-megapixel high-sensitivity MOS sensor and a new Venus Engine processor aimed at delivering high-quality images in a wide range of lighting situations. “

Cameralabs reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 (TZ40) and writes;
“I shot this in Aperture Priority with all settings and found the sharpest result was with the aperture wide open at its smallest f-number, which at this focal length was f3.9. Stopping the aperture down to f4.5 also delivered a good result, although any smaller and diffraction began to kick-in with a softer overall result. There’s certainly little need in everyday photos to stop-down to achieve a larger depth of field, as in this photo the entire range of subjects is sharp even at the largest aperture.”

Photographyblog reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 (TZ40) and writes;
“Add in a touchscreen interface, built-in wi-fi connectivity and GPS, a 5-axis image stabilisation system, a fast burst mode, and high-resolution screen, all in a smaller and lighter package than its predecessor, and it’s easy to understand why we like the new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ40 even more than last year’s model, and also why we recommend spending a little extra rather than opting for the cheaper TZ35. The Lumix DMC-TZ40 is Panasonic’s best ever travel-zoom camera and a worthy winner of our Essential award.”
Rating: ★★★★★

Ephotozine reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 (TZ40) and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ40 has all the features needed to justify its travel zoom tag. It offers ample optical zoom, great for landscapes and distance objects, as well as built-in Wi-Fi and GPS, all in a pocketable body. It’s a little on the expensive side, so some of the cheaper options may be more appealing, but the features and image quality certainly make it worth the money.”

Pocket-lint reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS30 (TZ40) and writes;
“Add accurate and super-fast autofocus which is handily controlled via the touchscreen, improved battery life and all manner of other tech and we’re left scratching our heads as to which other travel zoom competitor could take on this Lumix and win.”
