Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 Reviews

ImagingResource reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“ISO 80 and 100 look good printed at 16×20 inches, with good color and detail. ISO 200 shots are still good at 16×20, but slightly better at 13×19. Any larger and luminance noise is noticeable ISO 400 also looks good at 11×14, which is just about right for a 10-megapixel digital camera. ISO 800 shots are usable at 8×10, and better at 5×7. ISO 1,600 shots are still surprisingly usable at 5×7, but better at 4×6.”

RegHardware reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“if you’re simply looking for a big zoom inside a small(ish) camera and aren’t too fussed about high quality video, then save yourself a few quid and opt for the DMC-TZ6″

PCAuthority reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“Quality of shots in everyday outdoor conditions was impressive and showed good, punchy contrast and lots of vibrancy. Detail reproduction, particularly at the long end of the zoom range, was notable too.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Steve’sDigicams reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“Our outdoor samples are excellent. The camera does a great job of handling the exposures and reproducing sharp images with natural color tones. The 12x wide optical zoom lens is outstanding for capturing vast landscape and large group portrait shots on the wide end”

Tracy&Matt reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix TZ6 is a brilliant Zoom camera. The picture quality is brilliant and it takes pretty good video footage too. Being able to use the zoom when recording video is a definite plus… Over all The Lumix TZ6 has impressed me.”

ePhotozine reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“Colour quality is good and I like the portrait images, macro and landscape test shots. It’s a shame about noise but then I’m always disappointed with cameras of this classification. One real surprise was the complete lack of colour fringing on the landscape test. “

CNET reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“The good: Compact wide-angle lens with 12x zoom; good build quality; uncomplicated operation. The bad: Mixed performance; few manual features. The bottom line: With a flexible lens in a pocketable package, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1 is a pleasing point-and-shoot megazoom–both in design and photo quality. “
Rating: ★★★★☆

DigicamReview reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“TZ6 improves on a few key areas, and makes an impressive camera even better, the camera now offers an even wider 12x optical zoom lens with image stabilisation, all in the same compact body and it will still fit in your pocket. Image quality is excellent, with lower noise than the TZ5 and excellent detail…. Highly Recommended.”
Rating: ★★★★½

InfoSync reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“Pros: Great bright light image quality. Easy to use menus. Excellent zoom and wide-angle lens combo. Cons: Lame design. Difficult low light behavior. Poor Playback mode.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

PhotographyBlog reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“…for the most part they are as crisp and colourful as we’ve ascertained. As with previous Lumix generations, the DMC-TZ6 feels well built for its own £265 / $299 asking price that, while not the cheapest, nevertheless feels fair.”
Rating: ★★★★☆ reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ6 not only does more than you could possibly expect from any pocket-sized camera, it does it spectacularly well. Other cameras may be smaller, cheaper or offer more manual control, but, as a package, the TZ6 provides unparalleled practicality, versatility and quality”
Rating: ★★★★½

DigitalTrends reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 and writes;
Highs: Extremely compact; good photo quality; 12x wide-angle zoom; attractive screen. Lows: Few manual adjustments; proprietary connections; no HD video; forget ISO 1600 and high sensitivity setting”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS1/TZ6 User Reviews

Great travel camera | Rating: ★★★★☆

“Weight and size are good, still easy enough to carry in a purse or pocket. The wide angle takes a huge sweep of area in the photos. Pictures are crystal clear with a touch of roundness at the edges of the landscapes. The zoom is incredible, but it takes a special touch getting used to the sensitivity of the zoom dial. The zoom was my main reason for selecting this little camera, along with the fine Leica lens…” – Pamela

Love My New Camera | Rating: ★★★★★
