The Panasonic Lumix DMC-XS1 is an elegant and very compact camera that combines a 16.1MP CCD sensor and Venus Engine image processor to capture sharp images with accurate colors and fast performance. It also equipped with a 5X optical zoom lens equivalent focal length of 24-120mm in 35mm format and has a fast maximum aperture of f/2.8 at the wide-angle end. Moreover, the camera has MEGA O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilization) for compensate camera shake effects to provide clear photos and videos when shooting at the long lengths.

The camera allows you to record 720p HD video instantly by pressing a dedicated one-touch button. With a 2.7-inch TFT Color LCD Monitor which offers a 230,000 pixel resolution, making the Panasonic Lumix DMC-XS1 is easy to compose and review your photos and videos. The monitor also deliver 100% field of view and features Intelligent LCD function which automatically adjusts the screen’s brightness according to shooting conditions.

In addition, Panasonic Lumix DMC-XS1 offers fast start-up and auto focus and its Intelligent Auto mode allows the camera to set all optimal adjustments while you compose and shoot. There are also 14 individual Scene Modes such as Portrait, Sunset or Sports, which provides predefined settings according to certain types of shooting scenes. Not only does it, the camera is equipped with Creative Control and Retouch Modes which allow you to add expressive effects to your images before or after you shoot them.
