Hi Cunningham-
I bought mine in Taiwan and found out it didn't have an English manual either.

I goggled for a manual; down loaded it took my USB to Staples, they extracted, printed and put it in a wire binder for about $10.00.

Yes, for that kind of money, there should have been a manual in English

I wanted to replace my Canon SD 850is with a more up to date capability and a wider zoom range. I did a shooting comparison between the two cameras and the Panasonic ZS3 one hands down.

The 25-300mm zoom is really quite awesome and its available light capability and white Balance are both quite good. Image quality and colors are both very decent. The image stabilization is excellent even in low light, hand held the Panasonic performs very well. Set the dial to intelligent Mode and bang away, you will not be disappointed.

Cons: Noise becomes a factor at higher ISO settings, no manual controls, no raw capability. But in reality this camera will outperform some SLR's and is small and user friendly.
