Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 Reviews

Expertreviews reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“Still, we’ve got no complaints about performance in our testing, producing sharp results in our test images. It’ll also focus at extremely close range, making it very versatile.”

Pocket-lint reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“Overall the GF6 feels a lot like the GF5 in a slightly bigger frame, with yet more useful features such as a physical mode dial. All this can be scooped up at a cut of the earlier GF5’s price – we’re glad to see the cost-effectiveness that’s achieved by removing the pricey power zoom lens from the kit, which makes for a fair and attractive sub-£500 price point.”

Photographyblog reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“All in all the Panasonic Lumix GF6 is a surprisingly capable camera that will more than satisfy a lot of people’s needs, including both casual snappers and more serious photographers alike. You’d be hard-pushed to find such a well-rounded, well-connected, and, well, great performing camera without spending quite a lot more,..”

Amateurphotographer reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“For its target audience – those stepping up from a compact camera, first-time buyers of an interchangeable-lens camera, or even those that want a backup to a DSLR – the GF6 is an excellent option. It is lightweight, compact and handles well, with a good range of lenses.”

Digital-photography-school reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“In other respects I found the camera to be quite spiffy and easy to use. If you’re keen to dip your toe into interchangeable lens photography, want to post process RAW files, shoot decent video etc … this one’s for you! The beauty of the GF6 is that you can get around the various modes with great ease.”

Ephotozine reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“With an introduction price of £499 with the new 14-42mm IS kit lens, the camera is priced very competitively with similar models, and with the kit lens delivering excellent image quality, we feel that the camera offers very good value for money.”

Techradar reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“Image quality is excellent, while the flexibility of the screen is useful for capturing images from awkward angles. The fact that there’s no viewfinder is almost made up for by this screen, which could only have been improved by being fully articulating. It’s a bonus though that it flips up 180-degrees to face forwards for self-portraits.”

Photoreview reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“Overall performance was much as we expected on the basis of previous tests on G-Micro cameras, taking into account the resolution and image processor of the new camera. Images taken with the kit lens were sharp and detailed and colours appeared natural looking. This was confirmed by our Imatest tests, which showed colour accuracy to be generally good and saturation well controlled in both JPEG and RW2.RAW images.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Imaging-resource reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF6 and writes;
“Like its predecessor, the Panasonic Lumix GF6 still offers Full HD (1,920 x 1,080 pixels; 1080i) AVCHD movie capture, and also retains a progressive-scan 720p (1,280 x 720 pixels) AVCHD option. In both cases, the record rate is 60fps for NTSC or 50fps for PAL, but it’s derived from 30fps sensor data, due to the analog output of the sensor.”
