Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 Reviews

Techradar reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“The Panasonic GF3 is an ideal alternative to a compact camera. It produces high quality images and has an extensive range of controls long with simple, yet sophisticated, handling.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Photographyblog reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“Noise levels are very similar, with a usable range of ISO 160-800 and good results even at 1600,.. Colours are accurate when using the default Standard setting, with lots of scope to adjust the JPEG output to suit your own tastes, and the auto white balance is spot-on in most lighting conditions.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Pocket-lint reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“Auto focus in video mode is very impressive however, or at least was with our wide-angle test lens attached, softly and silently adjusting perspective in a non jarring fashion as we panned from one subject to another.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Digitalcamerareview reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“The GF3 records 1920 x 1080i HD video at 60 fps. The sample video that accompanies this review was shot on a blisteringly hot day in the late afternoon – the video is fluid, color correct, and the resolution is excellent.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Cameralabs reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“With the same sensor, kit lens and most of the GF3′s features in a slightly larger body with additional physical controls it’s looking like a real bargain for enthusiasts. Conversely, point-and-shoot owners looking to upgrade to an ILC for better quality without breaking the bank will be very happy with the Lumix GF3.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

PCMAG reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“Video quality is excellent—fine details are evident in the footage, and colors are very nice. The camera has a mini HDMI port so you can connect it to an HDTV to watch your footage on a large screen, and a proprietary USB port for computer interface.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Expertreviews reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“The 14mm lens gives a fairly wide 28mm equivalent focal length, which is perfect for landscapes, general sightseeing and group shots, and while it’s not so good for individual portraits, there’s always the option to crop photos after capture.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Imaging-resource reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“The GF3 produced full-autofocus shutter lag (with the subject at a fixed distance) of 0.312 second using 1-area (center) AF with the 14mm kit lens. 23-area AF was very slightly faster at 0.310 second.”

Ephotozine reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“The enhanced hand grip on the front of the camera, and solid build quality make it easy to hold, however we wish it was still as feature packed as the GF2. At least the camera is still capable of delivering excellent image quality.”
Rating: ★★★★½

DCresource reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“Colors generally look very good, except in artificial lighting, where things take on a brown or yellowish cast. Sharpness really depends on the lens you’re using, and also the Intelligent Resolution setting (remember that it’s off in P/A/S/M mode).”

CNET reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“The flash does a good job of illuminating subjects in dark situations, and skin tones appear natural rather than washed out.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

T3 reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“the screen’s controls are fast and responsive, there’s the ability to fire off a shot by tapping a portion of the LCD, and mixing physical and virtual controls makes for faster more intuitive operation.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Popphoto reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 and writes;
“In tracking mode, the camera can identify an object and track it by recognizing its shape and color. This worked well in many instances, but sometimes moved around a little bit on the object, especially if it’s a complex shape, such as a curvy plastic soda bottle, which provided an added challenge to the camera by being nearly clear in certain places.”

Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 Features

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 has a rounded design which makes the camera looks more compact compared to the GF2. Weighing around 222g, this camera is the lightest camera in the class G series cameras is equipped with 3-inches touch screen feature that has a rotary control button to allow users to adjust various settings according to desired needs. As in the Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF2, settings on the camera viewfinder is done on the LCD screen to keep the impression of a pocket camera without a viewfinder.

This camera has a touchscreen lock and also equipped with the Quick Menu button to access a menu of recently used and allows users to access frequently used settings like ISO or metering mode. The camera is lightweight and small compared to a DSLR camera. I would happily take it around town all day without worrying hurting my neck.

Moreover, this camera also provide satisfaction for those of you with easy operation and quick. You can turn on the camera and directly take pictures in just one second. The image quality is great with vibrant colors. In bright condition the camera is focusing system is quick and accurate, but it’s a different story when you’re shooting in low light condition. At high ISO, you’ll see some digital noise generated by this camera but I would say that the image looks much better compared to GF2.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 can produce great movie with 1080p resolution in AVCHD format, autofocus is running smoothly without any noise. Video in low light condition is also good without having too much noise.

You can choose one of the lenses between Panasonic 14mm f/2.5 lens and Panasonic 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 lens that can be used with this camera to produce high image quality. The Panasonic 14mm f/2.5 lens is our favorite for its slim size and its ability to deliver good quality pictures in low light conditions.

The Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF3 Highlights Features:

+ Built-in Flash
+ Dust Reduction System
+ Faster, Accurate Pinpoint Focusing
