Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 Reviews

Ephotozine reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix FZ200 is a welcome return to fixed aperture zoom lenses and it’s good to see that companies are regularly looking to find new (or old) ways to improve image quality. The same can be said by the choice to use a 12 megapixel sensor, rather than a higher resolution model, which gives both high speed shooting (12fps) as well as lower noise at higher ISO settings.”

Photographyblog reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“Astonishingly the FZ200 has a constant aperture of F/2.8 throughout its now relatively modest 24x zoom range, which arguably offers greater benefits to the photographer than increasing the telephoto reach. In practice having an aperture of F/2.8 at 600mm results in far fewer blurred pictures, with the added benefit of producing more out-of-focus backgrounds, making the Lumix DMC-FZ200 even more appealing to sports and nature photographers.”

Pocket-lint reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“It’s a shame there’s no touchscreen, the viewfinder suffers lag and continuous focus is short of the mark, but otherwise the FZ200’s performance is well on the money in this camera class.”
Rating: ★★★★½

CNET reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“Video performance was very good, with the FZ200 putting in an excellent performance on the audio front. The cleanly recorded soundtrack had no evidence of mechanical noise when zooming through the lens’ full range during filming.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

PCMAG reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 is the best-performing superzoom we’ve tested, and that earns it our Editors’ Choice award—in spite of its rather high $600 sticker price. It’s got a fast f/2.8 lens, does well at higher ISO settings, produces sharp images, and video quality is excellent.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Photoreview reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“Digital zoom shots were, if anything, sharper and more punchy than the shots we took when reviewing the FZ150. Two magnifications are available, 2x and 4x, and both produced usable shots, with the 2x zoom being marginally sharper. Panasonic’s Power O.I.S. stabilisation system made a positive contribution towards delivering sharp images during close-up shooting and at high zoom magnifications.”
Rating: ★★★★½

PCWorld reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“The FZ200 also features a new electronic viewfinder that has a 100 per cent field of view, a frame rate of 30 per second and a resolution of 1.3 million dots, which makes it ideal for use in bright environments where viewing the LCD screen can be difficult. High speed is also a selling point of the DMC-FZ200, with a stated burst rate of 5.5 frames per second while using the camera’s mechanical shutter,..”

Trustedreviews reviews the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and writes;
“All told, we’re really impressed by the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200. That it offers a 25-600mm, f2.8 lens is staggering enough but that it then backs this up with excellent performance, superb ergonomics and a plethora of features leaves us truly bowled over.”
