I have been using this camera for over 6 months now. It does get some incredible pictures, especially using the 18X zoom. I have one small complaint though-I have twice called the service line at Panasonic about this problem and they could not help me. I always shoot in the Intelligent Auto mode. Sometimes when I am using the 18x optical zoom, the picture wont snap when I try to take the picture. The only way out of this is to shut the camera off and restart it. Any ideas from any other owners what would cause this?

Although I don't put this camera in the same class as the high-end choices from Nikon or Canon, I loved test-driving this camera. Landscape photography makes up a majority of my work, and for this the Lumix was fantastic. Overall, I would expect Leica to tweak the firmware to do a better job of processing images.
