Panasonic DMC-FZ150 Reviews

PCMAG reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“If a superzoom with video and fast continuous shooting is what you’re after, the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 may be the perfect camera for you”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Photographyblog reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 dealt very well with chromatic aberrations, with limited purple fringing effects appearing only in high contrast situations. The pop-up flash worked well indoors, with no red-eye and adequate exposure.”
Rating: ★★★★½

Cameralabs reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“With the FZ150 you get a very usable 25-600mm lens range with great stabilisation, snappy autofocus and effective tracking. You get also get very fast continuous shooting and the choice of full manual or fuss-free automatic exposures, along with the ability to shoot in RAW, which really does record greater tonal detail than in-camera JPEGs.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Expertreviews reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“Other aspects of photo quality were consistently excellent, with sharp focus, flattering colours and superbly judged automatic exposures. The Intelligent Auto mode made life very simple”
Rating: ★★★★★

Imaging-resource reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150′s electronic viewfinder and LCD monitor both showed just over 99% coverage at wide angle, and about 100% coverage at 20x telephoto. Very good results here, especially considering how much distortion correction is applied at wide angle.”
rating: N/A

Dcresource reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 is a very good super zoom camera, and one that should be high on your shopping list. If you’re a beginner who wants something simple to take photos and movies with, it can do that with ease. Enthusiasts will be pleased too, thanks to the full manual controls, expandability, and RAW support.”
rating: N/A

Ephotozine reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“ISO test images show low noise at ISO100, noise increases slightly at ISO200, ISO400 sees a slight increase in noise and ISO800 sees noise increase further although results are better than the FZ48. ISO1600 shows reasonable noise levels, with the images appearing usable.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Digitalcamerareview reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“It has good build quality and ergonomics (with the minor exception of its dedicated video button). It’s a feature-rich ultrazoom with excellent performance, especially its shot-to-shot time and continuous shooting ability. Image quality is consistently good, with very little distortion of any kind”
Rating: ★★★★½

CNET reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“The captured images are pin-sharp, smooth, and look great when downloaded and played back in full screen. But the overall results are spoiled by excessive background noise, including wind noise, despite the fact that the wind-cut option was set to ‘auto’ (the only alternative is ‘off’).”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Pocket-lint reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“if you don’t want the perceived ‘hassle’ of a DSLR and swapping lenses and a big zoom is really top of your priority list, then the FZ150 handles well, takes good quality stills and video and offers the flexibility that a pocket compact doesn’t.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Pcpro reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“The price might seem a little high at the outset, but when you consider you’re getting video quality to rival the best single-sensor camcorders, as well as a 600mm zoom lens, it suddenly looks an absolute steal.”
Rating: ★★★★★

T3 reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“The Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 comes supplied with a chunky DMW-BMB9E rechargeable lithium ion battery, with mains charger and plug provided in the box. This is good for approximately 410 pictures from a single charge.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Trustedreviews reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“At 24x it doesn’t quite match some other superzooms in terms of telephoto reach, however it does deliver good image quality and solid hi-def movie recording abilities.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

PCWorld reviews the Panasonic DMC-FZ150 and writes;
“We had fun with it and think the big 24x zoom works really well. We were also pleased with the camera’s image quality overall (both for stills and video) and love the fact that you can tweak the image colours and tones so easily, or choose from a large array of scene and art modes when the situation calls for it.”

Panasonic DMC-FZ150 User Reviews

Pretty much the best “bridge” camera right now
“The AVCHD is as smooth and clear as a camcorder, and the H.264 lets me take low-light hi-res videos that play on a computer. And the 1080p H.264 on this camera blows away the 1080p on my Nikon 8100.” – By Old Radio Guy
Rating: ★★★★★

Wow! Impressive camera
“The sharpness at full 24X zoom (optical) must be seen to be appreciated. The Image Stabilization has delivered sharp, crisp results at speeds as low as 1/5th sec. handheld. Impressive!” – By Joe K
Rating: ★★★★★

FZ150 Has fantastic high ISO performance for a small sensor
“The one shot at iso 100 had a shutter speed of 1/8 sec & stilled looked sharp. The auto white balance looked perfect too. These were all taken without flash. I’m sure they would look great printed out a 6×4 size and even bigger.” – By mack77
Rating: ★★★★★

Best SuperZoom Camera for the Money
“While I am still learning the many things about this camera, I will say that it is a definite worthwhile purchase to add to my big Nikon DSLR. I’ve already taken some great photos with it and just beginning to have time to learn.” – By InStitches49
Rating: ★★★★★

Excellent camera
“I wanted a travel camera with a long zoom and closeup capabilities and this fits the bill easily. Top quality files in RAW format which was important to me. I got tired of lugging a digital SLR and multiple lenses around over the years. This a a competent alternative and is very convenient in any situation.” – By G. Courtade
Rating: ★★★★★

Better than Canon SX40
“The Canon SX40 (that I tried) has major AF motor noise (hissing sound) when zooming in or out (maybe due to it’s heavier/powerful zoom lens – a deal breaker. FZ150 has much better motor noise, and much better auto-focus (speed and accuracy), and better picture quality (dark noise, maintain edges, depth, and dark level).” – By turtlehair
Rating: ★★★★★

This is it for me
“It has no shutter lag, takes excellent sharp, well saturated pictures. Low light sensitivity is good, and it is light weight. It is a camera I will be comfortable using around town and on trips.” – By M. OBrien “Mike”
Rating: ★★★★★

Best Bridge Camera on the Market
“This camera works perfectly in low light situations, which is paramount during performance that mandate ‘no flash photography’. I have the option of shooting HD Videos as well, and the autofocus works perfect.” – By mojorising
Rating: ★★★★★

Fun camera: Does it all, goes everywhere
“High def videos are excellent, and in terms of focus speed, accuracy and sound quality better than my D7000 Nikon. Its simply a very good camera in a very portable package: no extra lenses, minimal bulk and weight, and a very good image stability system.” – By Chris Inoue
Rating: ★★★★★

Very pleased with camera
“The burst mode menu is very nice and easy to access from a dedicated button on top of the camera… The autofocus during burst was pretty good too, though obviously not as good as without burst mode.” – By JCV
Rating: ★★★★★

Just about perfect
“in good light, you’d be hard pressed to tell the difference between this camera and my DSLR. In low light, it’s not DSLR quality, but it’s far better than any other compact I’ve used. The auto focus is very quick and there’s very little shutter lag.” – By Rastus
