Panasonic 45-175mm/F4.0-5.6 Lumix G X Vario PZ User Reviews

Better than it’s siblings
“It’s very natural and performs very well. I do wish that you had the option that if you have step zoom enabled, you could have step zoom on the lever and faux manual zoom on the ring however.” – By J. Settle
Rating: ★★★★☆

Excellent lens
“I do not have any problem at all with the stabilization. The images – at least at medium range- are excellent and in the category of my 20 mm f 1.7 when used with adequate light. The motor zoom is fun to use and like a point and shoot.” – By Danlex

Loving this zoom on my GH2
“There may be problem with Olympus bodies, but for my GH2 it is a perfect Lightweight match. I shoot 50% stills/50% video and this is my go to lens. If they could extend te wide range down it would make me happier but this former Canon user is plenty happy with this 45-175 – BTW- the EXtele on the GH2 work GREAT with this lens. ” – By Aldo Cella

Good lens in a nice package
“The best lens is the one you have on your camera when photo opportunity arises. This lens is very compact (smaller than it appears) so that you can literally slip it your coat pocket (with GF3) and take it anywhere. You can get a lot of candid “street shots.”" – By Kenster

Winner
“I am using this lens on my Olympus OM-D. My rating of five is based on the overall performance plus the price. it is very sharp even at 175mm and is quick to focus. My previous camera was a canon 7D and I often use a canon 70-200 L and it is clearly in the same league. ” – By Dan Polley

The most underrated lens in the entire lineup
“I’ve been using this lens for the last couple of months with Olympus E-PM1 to great success. Very sharp wide open at all focal lengths even for distant objects. I have not experienced any OIS issues others have been reporting.” – By Alex

A Reaaly Good Long Lens for micro 4/3
“The lens focuses quickly and can be zoomed manually or powered. It is compact, light, yet provides more reach than most SLR lenses. The lens does not extend during zooming which helps to keep dust out and provide a more stable lens body. Of course none of this would matter if the images were not sharp but they are! Even the bokeh is good.” – By boB

A Good Choice for m43 Zoom Lens
“This lens is light and handy, less than 1/2 pound, and is a perfect mate for the smaller m43 cameras. Image quality is excellent at all focal lengths and all shutter speeds. The power zoom lever is a nice feature, especially for zooming during video. IS on the lens is EXCELLENT and the view through the EVF is very smooth and stable.” – By Setter Dog

Panasonic Lumix G X Vario PZ 45-175mm
“There is a tiny bit of sharpness fall-off at the long end but completely usable there and remarkably clean over most of it’s range. The light weight and small size make it the perfect companion for the 14-42X.” – By Fred Bauer
