Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS Reviews
PCMAG reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“If you’re in the market for a rugged camera, you’d be hard pressed to find a better one than the TG-1 iHS, so it’s no surprise that it earns our Editors’ Choice award. The camera’s fast f/2 lens, tough design, excellent high ISO performance, and fast-shooting capabilities come at a price, though.”

Digitaltrends reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“Low-light shots are impressively clean, and you can push ISO impressively low. On the other end, you tap out around ISO 800 — much farther and things start to get pretty grainy. The same goes with full zoom. But these things are to be expected, really, and its low-light performance is a remarkable coup, especially in an underwater cam.”

Imaging-resource reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“Better in most ways than other recent Olympus Tough cameras, the TG-1 features a strong, ergonomic physical design and impressive speed. The Olympus TG-1 boasts a fast maximum-aperture f/2.0 lens, and the images we took with it demonstrated strong detail and decent print quality — even as ISO rose.”
rating: N/A
Petapixel reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“As for image quality, I would say that it’s enough. Again, cameras should be graded based on what they’re intended for. The TG-1 packs a relatively small 1/2.3-inch sensor (a size found in many P&S cams), but the 12-megapixel photos that pop out have accurate color reproduction and decent sharpness”
rating: N/A
CNET reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“The Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS is out in front, though, with interesting and useful features, fast performance, and very good photo and video quality for a rugged point-and-shoot. Oh, and it’s one of the toughest cameras available, too.”
Rating:

Trustedreviews reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“The lens performs well in a range of conditions, with edge detail well maintained and fringing kept to a minimum. JPEG processing is a little heavy handed though, which causes fine detail to take on a smudged appearance occasionally.”
Rating:

Ephotozine reviews the Olympus Tough TG-1 iHS and writes;
“Images are good, they excel in terms of colour reproduction, with detail not as good as it could be. We also struggled to take a decent panorama shot. If you’re looking for a camera to withstand the extreme conditions, the TG-1 won’t disappoint, if you have the budget.”

Olympus TG-1 iHS: Excellent Rugged Camera
“Overall I think this is an excellent rugged camera that really nails all the features necessary to excel in this camera segment. The TG-1 is most certainly a big step forward from the Tough 6000 and I am very glad I purchased it. Besides the relatively minor negatives mentioned above, this is a sure fire winner for anyone looking for a rugged camera.” – By Chris Nichols

Great Pictures, Possible Quality Issues
“This replaced a Panasonic Lumix-TS2. The video is especially good. Considering this camera can go where DSLR can’t (without waterproof housing and bulky), the quality is outstanding. Underwater snorkeling photos and videos were excellent as were banana boat rides. This would be very difficult with a DSLR. The color saturation and focus was excellent as well.” – By TourniquetRules

Excellent Camera with a few shortfalls
“Overall though I have to highly recomend this camera. Despite being a Canon guy Olympus has impressed me with this one. Way to many features to put in one review. Excellent image quality. Impressive f2.0 shutter speed. High speed shooting mode that I’m very impressed with and will use time and time again even at 3MP.” – By JayBird

Love the camera
“The camera has not dissapointed after a trip to the water park, an amusement park and our pool. The feature to be able to shoot up to 60 fps at a lower resolution is pretty wild and has given us lots of options for thing like coming down a water slide or jumping into the pool. Even the sports setting has got a great work out.” – By Chris Thimes

Better Than Expected
“After using the camera quite a bit I think they best exposure is -1/3 EV (for my taste). Also, the macro images seem better than my excellent Canon S95. The best feature of this camera is IQ, not ruggedness, IMO.” – By Kailua Steve
