Olympus SZ-31MR Reviews

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“Like so many travel-zooms and ultra-zooms, the SZ-31 sacrifices sharpness for zoom, resulting in severe image quality issues. On the plus side, color accuracy is very impressive and barrel distortion is not severe.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

CNET reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“With its blend of pleasing photos (at lower zoom levels), quality build, compact body and high-res screen, this Olympus is an excellent camera,..”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Digitalversus reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“The Olympus SZ-31 MR corrects the main flaw of last year’s SZ-30 MR, as it’s now much easier to see what’s going on onscreen from various angles. A few nice new features have been added too, including a touchscreen interface and improved MR modes. So while Canon and Sony high-end superzooms handle noise more effectively, the SZ-31 MR is a surprisingly good value camera that’s still a generally excellent choice.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Thinkdigit reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“Overall, as a travel zoom with 24x optical zoom and a 16 megapixel sensor packed together with dual TruPic processors, the SZ-31MR does deliver decent image quality during the daytime.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

Expertreviews reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“Focus was a little soft towards the right of the frame, but it held together well at the full telephoto extension. Combined with the massive 16-megapixel sensor, this camera excelled at capturing details in distant subjects. It was even better for macro photography, having the ability to focus 40cm away when zoomed right in.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Ephotozine reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“It is an ideal option if you are looking for a compact camera to take on your holidays. Images have excellent colour reproduction, except it doesn’t cope well at taking portrait shots. It has a decent battery life, fast high-speed shooting and full 1080p HD video recording as well as a number of other useful features.”
Rating: ★★★★☆

Whatdigitalcamera reviews the Olympus SZ-31MR iHS and writes;
“Images are excellent particularly the colour reproduction…; the battery life is good and the fast high-speed shooting and full 1080p HD video recording with stereo sound and the clever iAuto setting and Magic filters all combine to make the camera well worth serious consideration.”
