I bought mine last june, then had it stolen in honduras in july. By then, i had problems unlocking the “write mode” for the memory card. it locked in when i suddenly unplugged the usb cord while downloading pics onto a computer, from that moment on, i couldn’t save pics onto the card and spent days trying to “unlock” the write mode of the memory card.

It’s a major disaster as far as I’m concerned! My Olympus C-50 Zoom took GREAT pictures. I wish I had it back. My new Stylus-9000 REALLY SUCKS! I took twenty-one shots today,… ONLY ONE was in focus!!!

I had an Olympus C-750 stolen from my house … the insurance company replaced it with a Stylus 9000 … god I miss my C-750, it knew how to take sharp in focus photos, the 9000 has no idea

I got one to travel with and I’m sorry every day I carried it. Yes, it has lots of shooting modes, but few make any true difference in overall picture quality. The memory card is specific to Olympus and is (of course) more expensive. Worst of all for me…you have to carry the camera AND the stupid charger in your luggage. I’d love to punch the engineer that decided not to charge the camera when connected to the USB port. If I could return the camera at the end of my trip, I would.
