Olympus Stylus 1200 Reviews

PCAdvisor reviews the Olympus Stylus 1200 and writes;
“The Olympus Mju 1200′s slick, wedge-shaped black and silver body looks absolutely fantastic and is as sturdy as a brick…A sturdy and stylish compact camera then, the Olympus Mju 1200 offers good features but performance sluggish. ”
Rating: ★★★½☆

InfoSync reviews the Olympus Stylus 1200 and writes;
“we were satisfied with the images we got from the Stylus 1200. The automatic panorama mode was very fun, and worked well especially in scenes with little to no movement. Non-portrait night scenes didn’t look as good, but daytime landscapes (even with cloudy weather), still looked pretty good. ”
Rating: ★★★½☆

CNET.uk reviews the Olympus Stylus 1200 and writes;
“As a point-and-shoot, the 1200 is efficient. Exposure is well-balanced and naturalistic even when available light is weak. Portrait mode gives a warm skin tone, even with the flash. Dark tones aren’t as rich and solid as they should be, giving low-light images a slightly washed-out effect..”
Rating: N/A

Steve’sDigicams reviews the Olympus Stylus 1200 and writes;
“Overall, the image quality of the 12-megapixel imaging sensor, was good when shooting in SHQ mode. Outdoors or when used in very well lit conditions the camera produced images that were very well exposed and had excellent color.”
Rating: N/A

Special technologies

Only the brightest innovations have been incorporated into this elegant and powerful compact model: A high ISO setting increases sensitivity so that images come out more brilliant, even in low-light situations. Shadow Adjustment Technology works by detecting the shadowy parts of a composition and automatically optimising exposure for these areas – resulting in more realistic, detailed images no matter what the lighting conditions. In addition, Face Detection Technology scans for faces, which it then automatically focuses and properly exposes to significantly improve the depiction of family and friends. In control

20 scene modes including Night Scene or Sports make it easy for novices and experts alike to quickly adjust settings for almost any shooting situation. In addition, the Smile Shot scene mode automatically fires the shutter when it detects that the subject is smiling, and integrated Perfect Fix lets you retroactively correct blur and red-eye directly on the camera’s LCD. An internal memory plus an xD-Picture Card slot means that running out of storage space needs never to be an issue.
