Features & Design
Olympus PEN E-5 has an attractive design for photographers and equipped with advanced features including reliable performance. The camera construction is made of metal which makes it comfortable when held. At the front, the handle is quite comfortable in the hand as the predecessor E-P3. This camera uses a touch screen that can be tilted out and down from the camera body which helps you to focus and take pictures with the touch of a finger on the object.
Besides having superb design and excellent handling, the Olympus PEN E-P5 also has intuitive control buttons that helps you easily and quickly change various camera settings mode. There are two control buttons on the front and back of the camera which can be used to modify or adjust certain parameters simultaneously. While in the menu system, you can use the four presets to switch quickly between aperture / shutter and white balance / ISO.
You can express your photography skills by using the mode dial that can be used to select the shooting mode. In addition, there are 12 features art filter that can be used for the creativity of the photographer. Performance & Image Quality
Olympus PEN E-P5 able to shoot continuously as many as 17 images in the RAW file format at a speed of 9.6fps, while the JPEG format you can shoot as many as 18 images with a speed of 9.5fps. While, for the same autofocus system as the OM-D will never disappoint you. Autofocus is very fast and accurate that you can control using the touch screen or the shutter button does not care about the situation you are photographing in low light and bright.
As for the image quality, the Olympus PEN E-P5 provide the best quality. In the default settings you will get impressive image with a good dynamic range, good color and punchy in JPEG file format. At ISO100-800 very clean photo of the noise, while at ISO1600 and higher, there is little visible noise in the image and at ISO3200 looks pretty much noise that reduces image. Advised you to use ISO100-800 if you want to get an image that is free from noise.
The video quality produced by PEN E-P5 only good enough, but moire can be a problem including some artifacts that appear in the image. Video recording is supported by a stereo microphone that helps you record audio in the video recording process. You can also add an external microphone to this camera. To record a video, you can use one of the PASM modes with a single choice, continuous, manual focus, or tracking AF.
