PhotoReview.au reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
“Exposure metering was accurate provided light levels were reasonably high. However, long exposures at night were consistently slightly under-exposed, as were flash shots in low light levels. Autofocusing was also reasonably fast and accurate under most shooting conditions”

LetsGoDigital reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
“The image quality of the Olympus E-520 is solid as a rock, leaving no other option than to go to the closest dealer and make your acquaintance with this camera. How that will work out, is up to you, we have been convinced already! A recommendable camera! ”

CameraLabs reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
“…the E-520 remains a serious contender. Indeed while the competition now offers some key features you should carefully weigh-up, we can still confidently award the E-520 the Highly Recommended rating of its predecessor. If you’re shopping for a new DSLR at this price-point, it should be on your shortlist.”

DigitalCameraReview reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
” the E-520 may well be the most flexible consumer DSLR we’ve reviewed this year: whereas the Nikon D60 proved to be an excellent first SLR, and new models from Canon and Pentax have aimed to appeal to a slightly more advanced audience, the E-520 does both at once.”

TrustedReviews reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
“Image quality is generally good. Olympus sensors and lenses work well together to optimise the sharpness and detail within images. Colour and exposure too are generally well maintained, though the camera does on occasions underexpose a little, but this has the benefit of maintaining highlight detail, especially in contrasty conditions.”

Biofos reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
“At ISO=800 the image is holding up very well but you cannot deny noise is present in the very darkest areas and speckling of lighter areas; at ISO=1600 you can readily see the quite intrusive speckling of noise but to my eyes it is not that distracting and is no worse than film grain would be at ISO800 and does not unduly detract from the image.”

ePhotozine reviews the Olympus E-520 and writes;
“When using Live View the focusing is sluggish, always going out of focus first before it settles…Image proceesing is superb, noise minimal, sharpness is good, exposures are 100% and the IS system is a lifesaver. Overall a very impressive piece of kit worthy of its price. ”
