Best bang for the buck
“First thing i noticed is that it is bigger and more powerful than my SB-600. Controls were simple to understand and modify since there is no LCD screen. It is a plug-and-play flash unit. I haven’t tried the optical flash or the TTL optical flash mode but CLS slave mode works perfectly.” – By coconatz

Much Better Than Expected – Go for it!
“The quality of the flash body is fantastic as the pictures truly do not do it justice. It isn’t too big but it has a lot of power. The buttons are easy to push and give you good feedback when pressed. The bounce card is a little thin but it does a good job.” – By C. CANFIELD

“The recycle time is great, I do candids and portrait work and have found it to be very versatile. I have shot well over 300 flashes on one set of rechargeable AA batteries and it is starting to show some prolonged recycle time now. “I bought this flash on the recommendation of a photographer as an alternative to the nikon flash units. I was skeptical at first, but after using the flash for a while I have come to find that the flash works pretty well.
