Have had this camera for a few weeks. Researched thoroughly the LX3, D-LUX 4, G10, and P6000. Intended to get the G10 but economics won out. As an image recorder this camera surprises. Shots at night are better than expected. Day time shots in clear light sometimes fail. Have no idea why. Use Leica film and Nikon SLR cameras so have good idea of subject area. Overall this camera is to my mind better than reviews suggest. There is that little 'but' however. Size wise a good compromise. Would not swap for the Canon. Results too close and Canon too big. Would not swap for the LX3. Images only as good and no viewfinder. So basically I wait to see what the G11 and P7000 will be like. The G11 needs to be smaller in size while the P6000 needs to come up to speed.
