Performs Well Underwater
“We took the camera snorkeling in Hawaii. It took great photos. It is easy to use and no water entered the camera. It is really sealed up well. The only shortcoming I see, is that the screen was hard to see underwater – so you were really pointing in a general area and shooting.” – By SGS

The Nikon Coolpix S31 is equipped with a 10.1MP CCD image sensor that combined with a 3x NIKKOR zoom lens to take great photos and videos. The lens offers an effective focal length of 4.1-12.3mm, which is equivalent to 29-87mm in 35mm format. This camera allows you to record HD 720p video in widescreen format with sound via the dedicated movie button. There is an Easy Auto Mode which automatically adjust the best camera setting allowing you get the best result of your photos and videos.
In addition, the camera has a a 2.7-inch LCD Monitor which easy for composing and reviewing your photos and videos. You can easily share your photos and videos to your HDTV by connecting the camera to compatible HDTV via the optional EG-CP14 cable.
