Nikon Coolpix S1000pj it's an very good camera becasue it has compact has swapped the original HD video for a front video projector that can take your photos and movies on a wall. In broad daylight, in a square at 12 noon, needless to say we do not see much. And it’s rightly so, since the sun is slightly larger and brighter than the S1000pj. Even in finding places too enlightened, although it remains usable, but the image is already visible inside a cafe or in a room without curtains. To make the most of the image, the less light the better. It enables the projection of a push button; the focus can be doing with a dimmer placed on top of the device.
In use, the device is not the fastest: soft wake up, it needs a little (too much) time to write his image buffer to the memory card. The interval between two images is a bit too slow for our liking.
A great idea, especially for corporate use. Imagine a company safety officer taking shots of unsafe situations, then instantly projecting them at a safety meeting for example. But why do the Japanese manufacturers price goods 50% higher in the U.K. than they are in the U.S.A.?
One could but this from Amazon.com, pay the shipping plus customs charges and still be well in pocket!

hi!

It's really a good thing that Nikon guys were able to pull something like this and this could start the ball rolling for other manufacturers. I too wrote about this cool gadget!

Cheers!

I prefer Canon and Panasonic point-and-shoots but I really can't wait to see these new Nikons in person. If the video quality is there these could get really popular.
