Nikon Coolpix P7700 Reviews

Imaging-resource reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Nikon fans can rejoice in a faster lens, a more versatile articulating screen, a simplified design, and a noticeably faster interface. The Nikon P7700′s Quick menu seemed more responsive than the P7000 and P7100, and even the main Menu seemed cleaner.”

PCMAG reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“The P7700 is a very good camera with a few flaws. Its control layout is excellent, its image sensor performs well through ISO 1600, and it features the longest zoom lens in its class.”
Rating: ★★★½☆

PCAdvisor reviews the and writes;
“Creative flexibility at your fingertips is what’s provided here, though potential purchasers will want to literally weigh that up against its extra bulk and a sensor that, although bigger than most compacts, is still small beer compared to actual DSLRs.”

Amateurphotographer reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Whether you like the size of the Nikon Coolpix P7700 will depend on what you want from a camera. It may be larger and heavier than the competition, but this is balanced with an excellent range of controls that most enthusiast photographers will really appreciate. In bright light the image quality is also impressive, particularly the resolution at ISO 80-200.”

DCResource reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Overall, the Coolpix P7700 is arguably Nikon’s best flagship compact in a long time. It takes great photos and has a host of features that enthusiasts will appreciate.”

Ephotozine reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“The Nikon Coolpix P7700 offers the most optical zoom in a “serious compact” camera, and the new lens is brighter than the old lens at both the wide and telephoto end of the lens. This in combination with optical image stabilisation and a 12 megapixel backlit CMOS sensor gives this camera much better low light performance than the previous model. Other updates include quicker continuous shooting, automatic panoramic stitching and full HD video recording.”

ITProportal reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“The Nikon Coolpix P7700 is certainly one of the two or three best advanced compacts on the market. It’s also one of the more expensive, but you get what you pay for. For experienced photographers it offers a versatile creative tool with image quality that is as good as anything in its class, and is a genuine pleasure to use. If you can live without an optical viewfinder it’s one of the best of its class and well worth considering.”

Pocket-lint reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Overall we’re impressed and the P7700 is certainly the most capable Coolpix we’ve seen to date. However it is on the chunky side and the strength of its near competitors undercut not only this Coolpix’s £500 asking price but also its overall abilities in many cases too.”

Trustedreviews reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“The Nikon P7700 is a formidable advanced compact that is sure to appeal to plenty of enthusiasts looking for a camera that delivers full manual controls, a solid feature set and great image quality.”

Photographyblog reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Despite the jump in megapixels from 10 to 12, the P7700 offers excellent image quality, thanks largely to the adoption of a 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor that’s physically larger than the one inside most compact cameras. There’s no unwanted noise at ISO 100-400, with a little appearing at 800 and 1600 still being perfectly usable, which is a great performance and certainly on a par with most of the P7700′s main rivals.”

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Many cameras in this price range offer the same flexibility, but the P7700’s control scheme is much more mechanical, much more tactile, and much more fun. So although you won’t be getting the absolute best image quality available in a fixed-lens camera, you will be enjoying one of the more satisfying user experiences in this segment.”

Digitalversus reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“The controls remain quite similar to the previous model, even if the screen now has a handy swivel function rather than a simple tilt mode. You’ll find a settings thumb-wheel and two dials for direct access to loads of functions—one dial for exposure options and one very Minolta-style dial for image settings. There’s also a flash hot-shoe.”

Ephotozine reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Whatever light conditions you are shooting in, advanced Nikon lens technology in the Coolpix P7700 ensures outstanding precision, sharp resolution and high contrast. Two ED glass elements minimise chromatic aberration, a Neutral Density filter enables greater exposure control and the seven blade rounded iris aperture allows beautifully natural background blur.”

CNEt reviews the Nikon Coolpix P7700 and writes;
“Advanced users would also be pleased to know that the Coolpix comes with numerous dedicated dials on the top panel that allows the adjustment of frequently used settings such as white balance, ISO, image quality and exposure bracketing, to name a few, as well as the usual P,A,S,M modes.”
