Nikon COOLPIX P7100 Reviews
Digitalcamerareview reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The P7100′s impressively logical control array allows most primary functions/settings to be accessed directly – I only rarely needed to delve into the menu system. Based on my experiences with the P7100 it appears that Nikon has actually made significant improvements in operational speed and function ergonomics over the P7000.”

T3 reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“Not that an untrained eye would notice the difference between this and Full HD as thanks to the combination of a larger than average 1/1.7-inch CCD sensor and superior lens performance the image quality is pin sharp and squeaky clean.”

PCWorld reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“Although the P7100’s 100-3200 native ISO can expand to 12,800, you’ll get the best results–as expected–at 800 or below. Shooting at ISO 1600 when necessary turns in perfectly acceptable results.”

Technobuffalo reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The Nikon Coolpix P7100′s 720p HD video mode was fairly stark and did not offer the ability to shoot in fun digital filters. Quality was not bad at all in bright light and the P7100 was surprisingly sensitive in low light. The Nikon Coolpix P7100′s zoom motor could not be heard while recording, which is a great thing.”

Imaging-resource reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The camera starts up and is ready to shoot in just a couple seconds, has improved shot-to-shot speeds and with its excellent 7.1x (28-200mm eq.) zoom lens can capture nice, professional-looking images with crisp edge sharpness.”

Photographyblog reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The P7100′s excellent LCD screen has been further improved by the ability to tilt it up and down, perfect for holding above your head or down at waist level, although it would have been nice to be able to move it out to the side too.”

Digitalcamerainfo reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“Image quality is excellent, with beautifully rendered details and accurate colors. Aside from Nikon’s bizarre choice to disable distortion control by default (and completely exclude it from Auto mode), and soft, desaturated results at the height of the ISO range, we can’t find much to complain about.”

Techradar reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The Nikon Coolpix P7100′s autofocus system is fast and accurate, the camera is quick to start up and shot-to-shot times – including when shooting RAW files”

Expertreviews reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The sensor and lens both perform extremely well outdoors, with sharp, clean details that few compact cameras can match.. Noise levels in low light is an area where this kind of camera has traditionally excelled, thanks to their relatively large sensors.”

Ephotozine reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“The lens produces good quality images with good detail in both wide and telephoto shots. The shot of the trees shows fairly low purple fringing and detail is good. The macro shot shows the camera’s lens can get close to the subject, at just 2cm away from the front of the lens, although this is at wide-angle.”
Rating:

CNET reviews the Nikon COOLPIX P7100 and writes;
“Distortions from the lens are low, and chromatic aberrations are also pleasingly low. Images viewed at full magnification show some over-processing, particularly losing detail when zoomed in to the full 7x reach. White balance is accurate in outdoor, indoor and artificial light, and the camera produces pleasing skin tones when the flash is used in dark environments.”

Nikon COOLPIX P7100 User Reviews
Great Camera
“this is exactly what I’ve been looking for, something smaller than my D90, more features than my Canon point-and-shoot, with an Optical View Finder. Just took the P7100 on vacation and I couldn’t be more pleased with the functionality and the photos.” – By Rixpix

performing as expected
“This camera takes great videos and the zoom on it is fantastic. I really like how I can get the shots without having to swap out my lenses on the D50, another big plus. The quality of the pictures is very good in my opinion…” – By martie

I love my Nikon
“It has amazing clarity and the 200mm optical telephoto lens lets me get beautiful close ups. Color is great, ir does fine on automatic but the many additional shooting features are easy to use, it fits comfortably in my hand and tucks away in large pockets of my clothes or glove compartment of my car.” – By Andy Solter

Really good, serious small camera
“Great image quality and the ability to shoot in Raw, which very few Coolpix cameras allow. If you don’t know, shooting in Raw gives you much better control and more options in processing your photos. It’s far easier to correct bad white balance, for one.” – By mr smith

I love this camera
“I did take some pictures here and there and the quality is amazing. I’m very impressed. It is a little bulky but it is expected – I love the features (effects) {fisheye, cross process, creative monochrome}” – By biduzza

A good all-around compact
“Another feature I like on the 7100 is the hot shoe. It lets me share my SB-400 and SB-30 compact flash units with my D700 when I’m using a lot of flash and don’t want to run down the camera battery.” – By J. S. Porter

Finally it’s here
“In short if you are a nikon DSLR owner this is going to be a breeze to use and master. I love this small P&S because I have been waiting for something that can do RAW & JPEG and this camera gave me the reason to finally own one!” – By Edgar H. Tan, MD “The Healer”

Pretty good camera
“That said, the photo quality is pretty good. I was pretty pleased with the results when I took the camera out on a recent hike. Sharpness is good, detail is good.. ISO performance is pretty decent up to 800. JPEGS are pretty good although it is almost always advised to shoot RAW when you can.” – By S. Vogt

Excellent go-anywhere camera
“The camera is also very comfortable to shoot with. With a nice rubberized grip on the front of back. The build quality is pretty good. Although, admittedly, the G12 feels a little more solid. But is certainly a step-up from most point and shoots. It comes with a nice chunky battery. Battery life is pretty good on this camera overall.” – By Michael M. Shaw

Excellent go-anywhere camera
“Photos taken with the P7100 show nice detail and when RAW photos are post-processed, the results are impressive. You will be able to print 8.5 x 11 nicely (and even 13 x 19 when needed). Shot-to-shot time is acceptible, and the optical viewfinder, though primitive, saves the day in bright, direct sunlight.” – By Michael M. Shaw
