I had to replace my Fuji 9000 which I dropped into the river. Ruined permanantly. This camera is smaller and harder to handle. This is not a camera for capturing sports action. The Fuji zoom was manual and much easier to adjust. This also lacks RAW, which is a shame, because the images are just a bit soft and JPEG leaves less room for manipulation and sharpening. Still, unless you like to print up 8 X 10 images frequently, you will appreciate the enormous versitility of the long zoom, and the images are quite passable- far better than you ever got with your old 35mm film SLR.
