<description>I purchased two coolpix L10 for my granddaugthers. After three months one broke and after four months the second one broke as the result of the same problem. Both girls said that did not drop them. However, the salesman said that they could have pressed too hard on the screen with their fingers. They don't deny that they pressed their fingers on the screens. But neither girl has a case for their camera and neither has carried it in their pocket. They carried them in a large bag like girls do.

It seems that the breakage was due to some pressure on the screen. However, with two breaking within weeks of one another, it seems that this is a problem. I have sent them in for repair. I do hope Nikon will pay for the repairs.
